Read the book

I have written a book that draws heavily on this project and covers all its subject areas, religion, violence, media, privacy etc., with lots of interesting examples. In English it’s called Free Speech: Ten Principles for a Connected World. If you buy it as an ebook, it has links to great articles on this site and many other fascinating sources online. I call it a “post-Gutenberg book” – as in the electronic pyramid illustrated below:

In English, you can buy it here (from or here (from You can buy it in German here (from, in Spanish from here (from and in Portuguese from here (from Circula de Leitores). The Italian, Polish, Hungarian and Romanian editions are in preparation.

If I can raise the money, I hope to make the whole book freely available on this website in languages such as Chinese, Farsi, Arabic, Urdu etc., in which an uncensored version of a book on free speech could not be published, and many people would be unable to buy it even if it were. Watch this space.

If you have any comments after reading the book, please add them in the comment box below. I hope you enjoy it and would love to have your feedback.

Best wishes
